What a World

Seems as though everyone want to get out and about with religion.  I give up if that is the best that people can do oh well.  I do think that there is something better and I will not tell just yet.

All is not Lost

I really do have to end the night on an up note. This is a tad esoteric.  It is just a bunch of reflections of different personalities. We all have them and I am guessing they are probably from times gone by. That is a good thing that we can all come to some kind of understanding through that lens.

Just Thinking

I was watching the news from around the world which includes Russia.  It was the state of the nation with the president Dmitry Medvedev.  It was about how the next generation has to take care of all the problems that are plaguing the state.  It is the same here in america with how we need to protect children and all that.  That is not a bad thing have you.  I do not want to be blamed if the world is not a better place because I just sat back and hoped for something different.  I was in Russia in 1990 and it was a sad site.  The army was in the street and nothing to eat in the stores.

Downtown Ogden

Poor old downtown with the fireworks and all the light ceremonies.  No one will go there because it has been to long in the development phase.  I used to go to the downtown area about ten years ago.  Everything is vacant and for lease yet is goes on to be such a drain on the economy.  Maybe it is just time to admit that it might not ever work and that the economics have moved somewhere else.  It is do to the bad management of the Mayor.  For Heaven sakes I drove down 26th street about two months ago and there were bike lanes painted off to the side.  Then a week later the street was paved over and the bike lanes had to be repainted.  Come on that could have been planned better.  What a waste of money to do something twice.

It is like Wonder Bread

I use to live in Promontory Tower in the 1990's and it was a lot more fun in Ogden those days.  There was the Downtown Street Festival, hiking without a vehicle being broken into in the parking lot, and naughtiness unbounded.  Now Ogden has Acappellapalooza festival, run Santa run 5k sometime in December, and Demolition Derbies. Such wholesome activities for the whole family and to guess why no one wants anything to do with it.

What is New

East of me Weber State now owns the house by the Dee Event Center.  It is torn down and will become a park that goes back to the baseball field.

I know about Weber State

It must be a tad much to name a blog after a university.  I searched to see what was available and it was there.
